Summer mission trips

Each summer we encourage our students to participate in summer mission trips.  Our middle school students spend a week at Camp Lookout, on Lookout Mountain, serving in the Chattanooga area and participating in Camp activities.  Our high school students rotate each year between serving with Appalachia Service Project and having an urban mission experience.

During the summer our middle school students have the opportunity to serve at Camp Lookout for Middle High Mission Week.  Middle High Mission Week is a fun week filled with service, new friends, lots of adventures, and quality time with Jesus.

Each morning our students have the opportunity to serve somewhere in the Chattanooga Area (Mustard Tree Ministry, Bethlehem Center, Chambliss Center, Widow's Harvest, Camp Lookout, etc.).  In the afternoons they get to enjoy all the fun camp has to offer.  We end each night with a time of worship.

The cost is $320.

This summer our High School Students will have an urban mission experience in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania through an organization called City Service Mission. When serving with CSM, we can be partnering with neighborhood clean ups, homeless shelters (primarily sorting clothing, cleaning, and connecting with participants), nursing homes, a furniture warehouse, food distribution centers, or summer camps and after school programs. We also could be partnering with a few grassroots organizations that may not fall into these categories but serve their community through other models such as the arts and community outreach.

Much of our work will be relational, while some is more manual or physical work, within the context of our relational long-term partnerships. We will also learn about the unique and incredible things God is doing to foster and further His Kingdom through the indigenous organizations that operate on the front lines of urban ministry. The cost for each student to attend is $500. Students will also need to pay for 4-5 travel meals & any snacks or souvenirs they may want. Once your student has registered, a $50 non-refundable deposit is due to hold their spot. Space is limited (10 student spots).

The cost is $500.
